Well London
Timeframe:
May 2007 - October 2010
Partners:
Groundwork London, Greater London Authority
Overview:
As part of the Well London project Groundwork London secured funding to produce Active Living Maps. These maps geographically cover twenty project locations across London and include information under six healthy and active living themes.
The aim of the maps is to empower residents within the projects sites with healthy living information.
To ensure that our maps are as up to date as possible and contain a rich variety of information we have collated both commercial data sets with community generated content. The community data was captured during workshops then digitised, verified and cleaned before being added to base map data.
Deliverables:
To ensure we reach every resident within the project areas maps will be available in a number of formats and locations. Each map will be available online via the Well London website as a PDF downloads as well as a ArcIMS interactive map. Paper maps will be delivered to each household within the project area as well as in key local services such as libraries and doctors surgeries. GIS data will be compiled during the first year and will be updated annually to reflect local area changes.
